Learn the EXACT strategies, tools, and websites you need to find a job you love AND get paid your worth

Figuring out what to do with your career can feel daunting

๐Ÿ‘‹Hey there,

Between what we think we're supposed to be, what we want to be, and what society tells us to be, it can be easy to feel stuck.

Stuck with a job you don't love, a career that fails to stimulate your mind, and coworkers who aren't inspired by change.

Spoiler Alert: Life Doesn't Have To Be This Way.

Do you wonder how some people seem to navigate the workforce so easily? ๐Ÿ‘€

Does your job search and networking strategy need a revamp?

Do you dream of one day negotiating for the salary you know you deserve?

When I first entered the workforce, I had never even heard of someone negotiating their salary. ๐Ÿ’Ž

Well, at least not someone my age with my skill set.

I had worked in retail and customer services. Every employee is paid equally in these roles, right? ๐Ÿšซ Wrong.

Eventually I found an office job in New York City.

As a community college dropout, I figured I was lucky to have a job in the first place, let alone in one of the toughest job markets in the country.

Living in New York City and putting in 60+ hour work weeks, I started to desire flexibility in my professional career but didnโ€™t know how to navigate my way. ๐Ÿ™†๐Ÿฝ At 22, I felt burnt out.

I wanted a job with better opportunities, but I wanted to work in a new industry. I wanted to put in the work, but I also wanted to be treated and paid fairly. I felt lost, hopeless, ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿฝโ€โ™€๏ธ with skills that held little value.

What's Inside This Workforce Survival Guide: Everything You Need to Land a Job You Love

life-advice

After years of trying to navigate the workforce on my own, I finally learned what strategies are and arenโ€™t working in 2018.

Seeing how lost so many others felt and how many questions I started to receive, I started coaching other women on how to negotiate a salary,

I showed them how to use Linkedin to attract jobs,

how to find their first freelance clients with simple strategies,

and how to navigate difficult career choices, and how to find remote work. ๐Ÿ’Ž

Working 1:1 with clients, I noticed some major problems...

  • It's NOT YOUR FAULT! Colleges don't teach students how to negotiate a salary โ€” Most people donโ€™t know how to negotiate a salary which leads many people to go underpaid for years or decades at a time. ๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿฝโ€๐ŸŽ“
  • Most people don't know how to strategize their job search. Most people enter their job search blind, with no idea where to start leading them to apply blindly for positions they find online.
  • Guidance counselors at school mean well, but their strategies are outdated. Most advice given to job seekers and students is bad or outdated information that's given to professionals through certification programs.
  • Applicants don't understand how to explain their skills and experience. โœ๐Ÿฝ Job seekers arenโ€™t able to articulate their skillset and arenโ€™t getting past resume screenings.
  • Most people don't know how to use their network when job searching. Most job seekers donโ€™t know where to find high-quality jobs and where the job market is heading.
  • Technology changes fast and applicants don't know how to use it to benefit their job search. Job seekers arenโ€™t even using the full depth of the technology the internet has to offer when it comes to growing their brand, networking, and finding incredible opportunities.
  • Most people never negotiate their salary, ever. Most people think they have to wait years working at the same job for a ๐Ÿ’ธ pay raise.
  • Many job seekers have a hard time answering interview questions. Thereโ€™s a lack of understanding of what hiring managers and clients want and how to get their attention.

Despite these common issues and my lack of a college degree, I managed to land dozens of incredible job offers at in-demand companies in competitive job markets such as New York City and Los Angeles.

I was able to go from making $9.50 an hour working in retail, to landing my first salaried offer at $35k, doubling my salary in six months, and started to receive job offers in the 80-90k range. ๐Ÿ’ฐ

Ever since achieving these results, I COULDN'T STOP TALKING ABOUT professional development, Linkedin, and its importance to job seekers and professionals worldwide.

These days professional development is the number one thing people ask me about, and now Iโ€™m here to share with ๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿฝโ€๐Ÿซ you what Iโ€™ve learned.

I cracked the code on attracting recruiters, getting higher paying job offers, negotiating a salary, and developing a strong personal brand.

Iโ€™m here to show you how it all works. Now I coach people how to gain ownership of their career and future. ๐Ÿ“š

Finding a job you love doesnโ€™t have to take a months, years or a decade.

You just need a strategy, which is why I created my Workforce Survival Guide.

Working for both large and small organizations ๐Ÿข, I know exactly what companies are looking for, where they look for you, and most importantly, letโ€™s be serious -- how much theyโ€™re willing to pay you.

Iโ€™ve been able to navigate my way from community college dropout, to 2.5x my salary, to working full-time as a freelancer, and starting my own company thanks to the advice in this book.

If you want to find more confidence and control in your career, this is for you.

Iโ€™ll be honest, none of this is that difficult. You just need the right plan. ๐Ÿ”Ž

Through the strategies I share with you in this book, you'll learn how:

  • I opened the doors to write โœ๏ธ for Elite Daily, Thought Catalog, Glassdoor, Paleohacks, xoJane, and The Well.
  • I was featured on Refinery29, Levo League, FitSmallBusiness as well as being interviewed on Sirius Radio and on news stations. ๐ŸŽ™
  • Iโ€™ve built a ๐ŸŽ‰ successful career in influencer marketing + career coaching. I receive daily client and freelance leads through Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and Linkedin. Heck, I've even been invited to perform stand up comedy at venues in Los Angeles thanks to these tips!

I decided to package all of the tips, tricks, and tools I picked up over the years into one convenient book. Inside my Workforce Survival Guide, I will show you EXACTLY how to grow your personal brand, build your network, and get paid what youโ€™re worth. ๐Ÿ“–

But obviously I'm going to hype up my work and advice, so here's what people who've worked with me had to say ...

From Administrative Assistant to Content Creator...

"Destiny is not only incredibly talented but she is one of the most hard working individuals Iโ€™ve ever met. She is constantly striving to educate herself and others around her in any way that she can. Iโ€™ve had the opportunity to work with her as she helped mentor and coach me to find the perfect social media job. Her knowledge and passion for helping otherโ€™s is what makes her one of the best there is. Iโ€™m endlessly grateful for her friendship and advice."

- Kay Brown, Content Creator, Betches

Here's What Julia Had To Say About Working Together...

โ€œDestiny is not only amazing at what she does, she has the most passion and drive of anyone I've had the pleasure of knowing. She reaches out to help others achieve their goals and find their calling because she truly lives and breathes what she does. Not only is Destiny's advice sound, it's actionable and concrete. She discusses the things people are afraid to talk about when it comes to careers and success- not only how to negotiate for a better gig, a better salary, and how to handle tough situations and reclaim them, but she helps others realize what actually serves them and what doesn't in order to tap into their fullest and most true potential. This is where most career advice falls short- it's not just about the money, it's about the reasons to get up in the morning and to go through your day present and driven to make a difference.โ€
